Watch Wizard - New Tissot models

Tissot have actually launched 6 completely new ranges this season, ranging from the contemporary Odaci-T range which brings together square and circular shapes in an imaginative and aesthetically stunning way. This new range is available in a number of different styles and sizes with a chronograph range also available. Another new Ladies Tissot Range is the T-Twist which has very classic square elegant face and then a modern twisted bracelet which brings a really modern different feel to the entire range. Happy Chic and Stylis-T are two of the other new ranges which are sure to be a hit this year with the ladies. A sure hit with the Gents is going to be the newly released Tissot Racing Range.

Tissot have just launched a new version of there hugely popular T-Touch watch. The new improved version is called the Tissot T-Touch Expert and has several new exciting features. The most exciting new feature is the fact that the new T-Touch Expert is now 100 metres water resistant which for the first time allows the wearer to use the T-Touch in water, it also has dual time zones and 2 alarms which allows you to set one alarm for the week and another later time for those much needed lie ins at the weekend for example.


Tissot are the official time keepers of five major sporting events, these are the Moto GP, Nascar, Cycling, Hockey and Nascar. Not only do they sponsor these events but they also bring out limited edition time pieces to commemorate the event. The most recent of these watches is the new Gents Chronograph Moto GP 2008 which comes in 2 different versions one which has an automatic movement and the other a quartz movement. They both come boxed in motorcycle helmets, which look fantastic!!


Rotary has launched several new lines for their Autumn/Winter Range, these include two new Rotary Rocks models which both have automatic movements. Rotary have also brought out a whole new gold range which they have called their bespoke collection. For nearly four years, the giant OMEGA Olympic Countdown Clock in Beijing's Tiananmen Square ticked down the seconds to the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. At exactly 8 p.m. on the 8th of August, 2008 -- 08/08/08 -- the Countdown Clock reached zero.

At the same moment, at the National ("Bird's Nest") Stadium on the Olympic Green, the dazzling Opening Ceremony began with 90,000 cheering spectators looking on. The audience included more than 100 heads of state, the largest number ever to attend an Olympic games.
The end of the countdown also signalled to OMEGA's 450 professional timekeepers and data handlers that it was time for them to take the stage. OMEGA is responsible for the timing of all 302 events in 28 sports at 37 different venues. OMEGA first served as Official Olympic Timekeeper at the Los Angeles 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Following the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing, Swiss watchmaker will continue its timekeeping activities at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and the 2012 Games in London.
