Tissot Watches was set up in 1853 by a father and son called Charles-Felicien Tissot and Charles-Emile Tissot respectively. They set their watch business up in a city called Le Locle which is in Switzerland. The company now in its 155th year have always been known for their quality and innovation. Tissot were the first company to create an anti magnetic watch, the first to create a watch made of plastic, of wood and of rock and in most recently they have created the
Tissot T-touch which is a touch sensitive watch.

1971 - Tissot create the first plastic watch called idea 2001
1978 - Tissot watches become the sponsor of the official Lotus F1 racing team
1985 - The Tissot Rock watch is launched made from granite found in the Alps.
1986 - The Two Timer is launched with analogue and digital displays.
1987 - Tissot launch the first watch made of Mother of Pearl
1988 - The Wood watch is launched
1998 - Tissot Titanium 7 launched with 7 functions and dual analogue and digital displays
1999 - Tissot T-Collection with real Diamonds comes out
2000 - Tissot T-Touch is launched with 7 functions and touch screen
2002 - Tissot Le Locle range is launched named after Tissot’s city of origin
2004 - Tissot T-Race is launched
2006 - Tissot T-Wave for ladies is released
2007 - Tissot T-Race Moto Gp Valjoux Automatic watch is launched
