Jeff Gordon's Crew Wins Tissot Pit Road Award



This is the 2nd straight Tissot win and fifth overall for No. 24 Crew
Jeff Gordon’s crew won the Tissot Pit Road Precision Award in Saturday night’s Sprint Cup race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway near Charlotte.


Gordon’s No. 24 crew, which also won the pit road award the previous week in California, has five Tissot season victories and has moved within one win of the lead.
The Tissot leader with five races remaining in the 2009 campaign is Greg Biffle’s No. 16 crew with six pit road wins.
Along with the $5,000 prize money for each weekly Tissot win, the crew with the most wins following the 36-race Cup schedule will collect a $100,000 bonus plus Tissot watches for the crew and driver.
Gordon’s DuPont/Transformers Chevy Impala SS spent the least amount of time on pit road during the 334-lap, 500-mile race (271.888 seconds). The quick pit stops helped Gordon to a fourth-place finish in the NASCAR Banking 500.

Adidas launches "Basketball is a Brotherhood" Campaign

LONDON - Adidas is launching an integrated campaign featuring six NBA All-Stars teaching youngsters the benefits of playing as a team.

The campaign, which features the tagline 'Basketball is a Brotherhood', was created by 180 LA, and consists of TV, digital, mobile, print and point-of-sale activity, each directing consumers to  the addidas basketball website.
 The players knew that Adidas was to run the camp, but they did not know that NBA All-Stars including Kevin Garnett (Boston Celtics), Tim Duncan (San Antonio Spurs), Gilbert Arenas (Washington Wizards), Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), Chauncey Billups (Detroit Pistons) and Tracy McGrady (Houston Rockets) would be teaching them. During the web series, the focus is shifted away from individual superstars and onto the real-life moments when a group of players becomes a team.

Chris Kyle, vice-president of global brand communications at Adidas, said: "'Basketball is a Brotherhood' is about the on- and off-court moments that make a team more than just the sum of its individual players.
"By gathering and showcasing amazing digital content, Adidas is able to deliver more of those insider moments to a global audience in a way that's engaging and accessible.
Adidas Team Signature products are due to launch in store from October 26.

DKNY is hosting an exclusive night in support of the MS Society

Donna Karan UK support manager  Marlo Donato Parmelee has written a candid, humorous and inspirational memoir chronicling her personal story building up to her MS diagnosis, in 2004 at the age of 32, and subsequently learning to live with MS. On Thursday 29 October at the flagship DKNY store in London, 27 Old Bond Street, W1S 4QE, Marlo will exclusively present her new book about dealing with life with MS
This event will run from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Following a champagne reception guests will hear Marlo’s memoir from the author’s own mouth as she delivers a reading from the book.
The Book, (Awkward Bitch: My Life with MS) will be on sale on the night with 10% from each sale going to the MS Society. To round the evening off guests will have the opportunity to buy DKNY clothes at a special 10% discount. DKNY will also generously be donating an additional 10% of all sales to the MS Society.
